Visiting New Zealand

This summer holiday, I was very fortunate to visit New Zealand for the first time. It’s a small country next to Australia in the Southern Hemisphere. Because it is in the Southern Hemisphere they have winter when we have summer in Hong Kong.

I rented a car and drove from the North Island to the South Island. I saw many beautiful towns and breathtaking views. The coffee was great and the people were friendly. One of my favourite towns is Reefton. It was the first town in the Southern Hemisphere to have electricity.

New Zealand has so many farm animals. Everywhere you go, you’ll see sheep or cattle farms. They have about 4.5 sheep for every person. The cutest farm animals I saw were these two curious little ponies.

I’m sure you will have lots of fun when you visit New Zealand one day. There are many fun adventure activities that you can do. Just remember to take a jacket, as even the summers can be chilly.
